Who We Are
Mud River is a friendly, family oriented, Bible preaching, Christ centered, and Independent Baptist Church. We established in 1807 for the purpose of carrying out the Great Commission according to Matthew 28:18-20.
Our goal is to lead people to Christ, baptize them, and bring them into the fellowship of the local Church. We also want to teach them to observe the commandments of Christ, equip them for service, and provide an atmosphere for growth in the grace and knowledge of our Lord. All Christians should follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit to help them mature and know God's will for their life.
Mud River Baptist Church also wants to provide an opportunity for all people to use their spiritual gifts and abilities through the ministry of the local Church!
Our desire is to bring honor and glory to the Lord through our services, missions, and local outreach.
We Believe
The Bible: Mud River Baptist Church believes in the verbal plenary inspiration of the Bible as written in 2 Timothy 3:16.
The Bible is the revelation of the will of God to man, and is the final authority on all matters.
We use the King James version of the Bible in all areas of ministry.
Creation: We believes in the Bible's account of the creation as stated in Genesis.
Salvation: Jesus Christ is the only way to God (John 14:6) and that salvation is by grace through faith as written in Ephesians 2:8-9.
Church: We believe in the autonomy of the local church under the headship of Christ; Colossians 1:18. We believe the mission of the church as given by our Lord in Matthew 28:18-20.
Missions: Transforming Lives Worldwide Through Missions Support.
